These are the terms by which we supply goods to you, please read them carefully, by placing your order you agree to be bound by them.

The Delivery and Returns documents form part of these terms and Conditions.

Ordering

Placing of an order is not acceptance of an order. Your order is not accepted by us until you receive an email from us to that effect.

If at any time it becomes apparent that we cannot fulfil the order then we shall contact you.

Your order will not be processed until payment is collected in full.

If you wish to cancel the order before it has been dispatched then you may do so. You should contact us as soon as possible after placing the order. If the order has been dispatched then your rights as explained in the “Returns Policy” shall be enforce.

Pricing

All prices include VAT at the current UK rate where applicable.

Every care is taken to price goods correctly. If however before dispatch it is noticed that an error in pricing has occurred then we shall contact you to give you the option to pay the additional amount, inform you of our intention to give you a part refund or to give you the option to cancel your order and receive a full refund.

We reserve the right to change prices without notice at any time

All prices are exclusive of delivery costs.

All prices in GBP

Payment

Goods become your property once payment is received in full.

All goods are paid for in full before processing your order.

All card payments processed are subject to fraud prevention measures.

No details are passed to any third party for any reason.

Returns/Refunds

All returns are governed by the Consumer Contracts Regulations (As of 13 June 2014 Distance Selling Regulations no longer apply in the UK), and the Consumer Rights Act.

If you wish to return your order or any part of it because you no longer want it then you must inform us in writing (e mail is fine) within 14 days of delivery quoting your order number and reason for return. You will then be given instructions on how to return your goods. We are allowed by law to reject perishable goods and “made to order” items and therefore to safeguard our customers we reserve the right to refuse perishable goods as returns unless defective or supplied in error.

If returning goods that you no longer want they should be in the original packaging and undamaged.

We shall refund the cost of your order (or part thereof) and the basic postage delivery costs paid but not any premium delivery cost paid (ie next day delivery). The return postage cost must be met by you.

If you wish to return goods that have been supplied in error (wrong size, wrong colour etc) or are damaged in any way then you should let us know what goods and why you are returning them.

In this instance we will refund the cost of your order (or part thereof) and will refund any return postage costs.

No item is considered returned until we have received it, therefore we strongly recommend you return any items recorded delivery or at the very least get a “certificate of posting” when returning goods. You should be aware that proof of posting is not proof of delivery and it is your responsibility to trace the package if it is not delivered.

No refund will be processed until the returned goods have been received by us. You will normally be refunded within fourteen days of receiving returned goods. 

All refunds will be credited to the card used at checkout

All information set out in our Returns/Refund Policy forms part of these Terms and Conditions. If anything contained herein is contradictory then the Returns/Refunds Policy shall prevail.

Images, Colours and Dimensions

The colours and images on this website are for illustrative purposes only. Every effort has been made to represent the colours accurately but we cannot guarantee that your computer will display the colours accurately to reflect the true colour of the goods. Many of the goods on this website are handmade and may therefore differ slightly in size from the dimensions quoted.

Allergy and Ingredients

Ingredients and any food allergy information are given as a guide only. Customers are asked to check manufacturer’s labels for up to date information which may change from time to time. Sugar ‘n’ Spice Cakes cannot be held responsible for customers who disregard manufacturer’s advice and instructions.

Age Restricted Items

Any items containing alcohol, knives and some solvents require age verification. By proceeding to checkout you are declaring that you are over 18 years of age.

General

Anything contained herein does not affect your statutory rights.

These terms are governed by English law.

Your attention is drawn to the Sales of Goods act 1979 and The Consumer Contracts Regulations

T & Cs Cakes

Once you have collected your cake and left our premises you are responsible for it's safe handling. Please inspect your cake carefully before leaving. You will be given instructions on how to carry and store the cake to keep it at its best. Please follow the instructions carefully to avoid breakages. We shall not be held responsible for any damage caused after it has left our premises.

A deposit is required for all cake orders. All deposits are NON REFUNDABLE.

The balance is required on or before your cake collection date.

The full outstanding balance on wedding cakes is due one month before the cake is required. We will not begin work on any wedding cake  until the balance is paid in full.

If after you have placed your order you wish to change any details please let us know, however we reserve the right to make an additional charge if your cake is nearing completion and any wastage is incurred.

If you have a complaint you should contact us as soon as possible. If the complaint is about your cake you must return it to us within 24 hours of you receiving it. All complaints are investigated thoroughly however the Company’s decision is binding and final. (This does not affect your statutary rights)

Although mistakes are rare we are human! You are required to give us the opportunity to correct any inscription errors or repair any defects within a reasonable time. We undertake that if the error was our fault and you are unable to wait for more than 15 minutes we shall deliver the cake free of charge.

T & Cs Training Courses

PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE CLASS/COURSE YOU BOOK

Once you have booked your course your fees are non refundable as your placed is held for you until the date of the course.  If you find yourself unable to attend the course/workshop up to one month before the start date you will be offered a voucher to the value of the class with one years date from the date of booking.  This can only be used for classes.

Deposits.....All deposits for classes/courses are NON REFUNDABLE . It is your responsibility to ensure that any balance due is paid on or before one month before the Class/Course starts. Sugar 'n' Spice will not be responsible for "chasing you up" for payment.

If  full payment is not received within one month of your Class/Course start date your place will be lost and the vacancy offered to someone else.

You are responsible for ensuring you arrive in time for the start of your class. Tutors will not "go over" missed content as this would be to the detriment of other students. You are advised to attend 15 minutes before your scheduled start time.

If you are booking the class for someone else or as a surprise please let us know at time of booking.

In the unlikely event Sugar 'n' Spice cancel a course you will be offered a full refund or, if you prefer, transferred to another course (subject to availability). We shall only be liable for the cost of the class and not any consequential loss.

You agree to take all reasonable care while on our premises and only use equipment in the way taught. We shall not be held responsible for any injury if you fail to follow instructions on use of equipment. All accidents/injuries must be reported to the tutor immediately.

We may occassionaly take photographs for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed please let us know, you will not be photographed without your permission. By agreeing to be photographed you are consenting to any photographic material to be used by the Company for promotional purposes only. No photographs of children will be taken/used without express permission of the parent or guardian.

You are asked not to take photographs/videos of our training room or at any time during the class without the permission of the tutor. You will be allowed to take photographs of your work at the end of the class.

Although our training room is only accessed by staff and other students you are advised not to bring any items of high value with you. Sugar 'n' Spice will not be held responsible for any loss or damage.

All courses are held in our dedicated training room unless otherwise stated.
