Delivery and Costs Online Shop

Delivery Charges

Orders over £35 – FREE DELIVERY

Orders £35 and under – Standard Deliver £6.10 (See exceptions below)

Next day delivery - £8.50, orders must be placed before 2pm. *(restrictions apply, see below)

Click and Collect – Is available for orders over £25 and is postage free. (Unfortunatly at this time there is no next day delivery service available for click and collect).

Delivery to the following postcodes is £12.10

PO30 – PO41, IM, TR21/TR25, KW15 to KW17, ZE, HS, CI, IE, BT.

*Next day delivery is not available to the following postcodes:-

KA26/27, IV40 to IV56, KW1 to KW14, PA20 to PA78, PH15 to PH44.

Delivery Timescales

Your order will normally be despatched the next working day following receipt, however during busy periods this may be extended to the following day so please allow 3 - 4 days for delivery.

Next Day Delivery

Orders must be placed before 2pm.

Our couriers deliver Monday to Friday so please be aware if you order on a Friday you will receive your order on a Monday. If you place your order on a Saturday or Sunday it will not be processed until Monday and therefore arrive Tuesday. There is no delivery on a Bank or Public holiday.

Please allow 4 - 5days for delivery to postcodes in Eire/NI/Uk Islands and the Scottish Highlands. (Usually delivered quicker!!)

Click and Collect

All orders are shipped directly from our warehouse so please provide a mobile number on checkout and we will text you when your order arrives and is ready for collection.(orders are not delivered from our suppliers on a Saturday but may still be collected on a Saturday) and not including bank holidays).

Delivering Your Order

Our couriers deliver Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm. Please ensure that someone is in to sign for your order. If when the courier attempts to deliver the order and no one is in to sign for it a card will be left with instructions how to collect your order or arrange redelivery.

Time of delivery is deemed to be the first time the courier attempts to deliver your order.

If you pay for next day delivery (and order before 2pm) and we fail to deliver on the next day and you still wish to keep the products then your extra postage costs will be refunded. 

Celebration Cakes

Celebration Cakes can be personally delivered to any location within the UK mainland. A minimum charge of £10 will apply to distances up to 5 miles. Over 5 miles will be charged at 50p per mile (return journey). The distance will be calculated from order point to delivery address (postcode to postcode).

We will not deliver to an address without a postcode.

Please ensure someone is available to receive the cake at the delivery address at the agreed time and date. We will only deliver the cake to the given address and will not under any circumstances leave it in a "convenient place" ie shed. If the delivery is unsuccessful because no one was in to receive it, the cake will be returned to one of our retail premises and it will be your responsibility to collect it. No delivery charge refund will be given.

Delivery depends entirely on staff availability and on some occasions may not be available. Times of delivery cannot be guaranteed, however we will always try to arrive within an agreed "time window".

Wedding Cakes

Free delivery and where necessary set up is included in the price of your cake within a 10 mile radius of the order point. If your venue is outside of the 10 mile radius you will be charged a delivery fee of 50p per mile (return journey), however you will not be charged for the first 10 miles.

Distances will be calculated from order point to venue (postcode to postcode).

Cakes that require intricate setting up may incur an additional charge.

Once your cake has been set up at your venue photographs will be taken and Sugar 'n' Spice Cakes Ltd will no longer be held responsible for any damage occasioned after we have left the premises.

If you wish to hire a stand a £50 (cash only) deposit is required which will be refunded on the safe and timely return of the stand. If the stand is returned damaged or incomplete the deposit will be witheld to facilitate purchase of a replacement.
